1) Out Of Character chat. Try to keep OOC Chat to a minimum . If lots of people remain in character for long periods  of time, a good atmosphere will develop. Occasionally it is necessary to make the odd comment OOC but if you wish to discuss RL issues then please use PM's. 2) Newcomers to Okinawa's Distress hmmmm.Well we were all newcomers once. If you see a newcomer come in then do not immediately talk to them. I know it sounds harsh but hear the reasoning: If you we're doing what you were for real, would you jump up out of your seat and greet someone you  didn't know??? I wouldn't! If someone you don't know says 'hi' then act like it. Maybe a  PM to them or something pointing them to these guidelines or a quick explanation of things  to them? 3) Fighting. Always a good one this! Well fights do break out in Okinawa if only rarely and there's no reason why they shouldn't break out here. If you are angered by someone then DO get mad, DO shout etc. Now, this is where it gets a bit complicated, but if you follow, the outcome is always surprising. We will be using a jankenpon system, we call statis. For instance...any motions used in action against another in fighting is jankenpon'd, by this example: If Talan decides to search for_______ he used his focusing....jankenpon. If someone decides to take a swing at someone...jankenpon. If you use a weapon, please, and same goes for hand to hand, please do it in detail... basically, we are going to do T1 fashion and jankenpon combined. This makes the actions much more realistic. If you are casting, or using a particular vampire trait or such, jankenpon. If you have any questions while rp'ing, PM us, or e-mail us with any questions you have. 4) Fighting amongst friends. Friendships do break down, it happens all the time IRL. but you don't go and kill your  ex-best friend if he/she does something you don't approve of! Perhaps you should go to  a Private Room, tell them your side, listen to theirs and take it from there. Be Open  Minded and try to see it from their point of view. 5)Ignore. The Ban or Ignore button is there. Use it! I'm talking mainly about Newcomers that come into Okinawa to offend. Simply ignore them. Don't get drawn into an argument  with them. Stay calm. Hit the almighty button. In the end they'll get bored and go away.  Easy. 6) Real Life. Do not let a character get you mad IRL. Players and Characters are two completely separate things. Just because a character is evil or the like, does not mean he/she is in Real Life.  Keep the two separate. 7)Actions. Don't be afraid to type long sentences describing in detail the actions of you're character. Especially if you are not interacting with another Character.  For example: *the chair creaks as he leans back in it, running his fingers over the velvety  material covering it* sounds much better than: *leans back in his chair* 8) Logging out I Have also noticed a lot of characters are just logging out or changing rooms to make this more realistic say that you have to leave and describe the way you are leaving.  I understand because of restraints in IRL it is not always possible but it does make the  role playing run more smoothly.
